Upcoming Events

These moms and daughters helped sort food
for Thanksgiving Baskets last year.

Most of our big events serve one big purpose >> they bring in much needed funds to keep our programs going and growing. But that's never the whole story. They also bring our community together to help each other; to celebrate what's good, and of course to have fun. Lots of fun.

With friends like these...

We can do anything. Really. We're so lucky to have great friends in the community who host events with us and on our behalf. Like our friends at the Harmony Bar and Peter and Lou Berryman who have hosted annual events for us for many years. And then there are all the people >> like you >> who volunteer, donate, organize and attend our events.

Upcoming SPECIAL events:

The Harmony Bar is 20! Come celebrate! Your donation at the door goes to the Center! >> March 14, 2010

Congratulations to Keith and all our friends at the Harmony Bar!

Oxfam America Hunger Banquet > March 26, 2010

Where: Goodman Community Center, Evjue Community Room

Registration: No registration required.
Who: Open to the public. Families are encouraged to attend.

Few experiences bring to life the inequalities in our world more powerfully than an Oxfam America Hunger Banquet® event. Organizers and participants alike can experience firsthand how our decisions affect others in the world. "After an Oxfam America Hunger Banquet event, few participants leave with full stomachs, but all possess a greater understanding of the problems of hunger and poverty and will hopefully be motivated to do something about them." - Oxfam America

This event is hosted by Helen Hazelmare, Fritz Food Pantry Coordinator at the Center.

The Hunger Banquet is happening because of the goodwill, big efforts, and donations of these great folks:
Monty's Blue Plate Diner for donating all the food
MEDIAWORKS for capturing the experience on video
Students at Madison Country Day School for collaborating with us and volunteering to help in many ways.
