Volunteer to help with an event
If you have just a short amount of time to offer once a year or once a month, consider volunteering for our special events >> it's quick and easy >> you don't need to fill out a volunteer application. In addition to our two major events each year, Summerfest in July and Thanksgiving Baskets in November, the GCC holds many events throughout the year and volunteers are essential to their success. How to apply for an ongoing volunteer role
The first step in volunteering at the GCC is to attend one of our volunteer orientations. These are held twice a month, and include a 360 Story Tour followed by an introduction to our volunteer program and current opportunities.
Upcoming dates are:
- Tuesday, June 18th: 5:30-7:00 pm
- Thursday, June 20th: 8:00-9:30 am
- Tuesday, July 16th: 8:00-9:30 am
- Wednesday, July 17th: 5:00-6:30 pm
- Tuesday, August 13th: 8:00-9:30 am
- Wednesday, August 14th: 5:00-6:00 pm
Morning sessions include a continental breakfast and evening sessions include a snack from our Working Class Catering. You can reserve your spot online here, please mark in the comments that you will be staying for the volunteer intro session following the tour. Once you have attended an orientation, our Volunteer and Stewardship Manager will work with you to find the right fit in one of our programs.
