Future Plans

We need this better space, but we think you’re going to love it, too.

We purchased this property on the last day of 2005, and promptly hired Eppstein Uhen Architects to listen to our needs and dreams and help us transform this blighted, but historically appealing property into our new home. We soon had plans that our whole community has responded to with enthusiasm — and contributions — that say to us,
“This is going to be great for our community. Build it!”

The “before” picture of our new home!
The long building you see is the historic building we are renovating to house all of our current programs, many new programs, and lots of new space for our whole community. The other out-buildings you see have been torn down to make room for our new gym, parking and green space. The Center will sit right on Waubesa Street, and you can see the Capital City bike trail in the foreground hugs the edge of our property — a feature we are thrilled about.

Our new home will be a place that will lift your spirits. Simple, durable designs are being selected for durability and lasting appeal. With almost 300 windows, the light alone will brighten your day.
