Both Eppstein Uhen Architects (EUA) and Vogel Bros. Building Co. have shown their incredible commitment to building community, not just to helping us build our project. The Center went through a traditional bidding process, and weighed many factors in making our hiring decisions.
| Eppstein Uhen Architects For Eppstein Uhen, quality design and service is a given in every project, but their core mission is to go “Beyond Design” and provide value beyond the norm. And they have certainly done that already. They’ve participated in several community forums, offered beautiful and practical design solutions within our budget, busted their butts to keep us on schedule, and organized a “Beyond Design Bike Ride” from Madison to Milwaukee to raise money for the Center.  Riders in Eppstein Uhen’s “Beyond Design Bike Ride” started at the site of our future home on Madison’s east side and rode to Milwaukee to benefit the Goodman Atwood Community Center, raising more than $12,000 for our project last September. Thanks again, Eppstein Uhen! |

| Vogel Bros. Building Company The folks at Vogel Bros. are no different. The only thing that is different is that we’re building on a 53 year relationship — David Vogel, Chairman of the Board of Vogel Bros., was involved with the Center from its very beginning. And Vogel Bros. has been a team player, attending hours of meetings long before their contract even started. They are also helping us with our fund-raising, from introducing us to donors to providing a construction vehicle to lead our kick-off parade. One of Vogel’s stated corporate goals is “to be good stewards of their clients’ resources” which is very important to us, as we are always mindful that this new facility will be built on generous gifts from our community — and our goal is to be good stewards of every gift from every person.
