YOUTH
It's all about kids growing up smart, healthy and confident. Creating strong kids is
our business. Atwood youth programs enable children from all backgrounds to learn and
grow together in a safe place with caring adults. The children learn through cooperative
activities (structured and free-choice) that promote a safe environment and promote social
and academic skills. more
MIDDLE SCHOOL
The Center's middle school programs offer evenings of structured educational and social opportunities for older youth. Transportation is available for youth who live within two miles of the center. A light meal is provided for all participants. Over 125 middle-schoolers are involved in the programs. more
TEENS
Goodman Atwood Community Center has acquired the Lussier Teen Center, a unique space that is devoted to serving teens in the community--an area of programming that the Center has been focusing on expanding for the last few years. The space offers many possibilities: computer lab, kitchen and dining area, photography, crafts, and of course, the stage area. more
The Center hosts a variety of groups that meet and pursue diverse interests such as Middle Eastern dance, accordion marching band, aerobics, 12-step programs, computer classes, affordable housing, Starkweather Creek improvement, and breastfeeding. more
OLDER ADULTS
Goodman Atwood Community Center offers programs for seniors to gather together, share interests, make friends, eat good food, and connect
to the community. We've got Monday Brunch, the All-Day Wednesday Program (exercise, coffee, lunch, bingo), weekend outings, and Euchre
parties. Reservations are not necessary-- just drop in! You are always welcome at the Goodman Atwood Community Center. more
