Ironworks Café

Ironworks Café

If you are looking for food that's made from the fresh, local and seasonal ingredients [and big on flavor], you'll want to check out the Ironworks Café. You'll find fresh brewed coffee and scrumptious house-baked desserts and pastries. Savory soups and sandwiches. Yummy weekend brunches.

Our small menu changes daily and features the freshest ingredients we can get each day. Whenever possible [almost always] we use ingredients from local farmers and organic products.

No matter what meal you come for, or if you stop in for coffee or tea, you'll find it's a relaxed, casual atmosphere >> and we have free wireless!

Teens are at the heart of this café

The Ironworks Café is part of a teen employment program at the Goodman Community Center. When you eat at the café, you're helping teens learn basic job skills, food and customer service skills, plus they're seeing the ins and outs of managing a business. There are always comment cards near the cash register >> the teens depend on your feedback to help them learn what they are doing right and how they could make your experience better, so if you have time, please fill one out!

The Ironworks Café has a partnership with East High School's alternative educational program Vocationally Integrated Pathways (VIP). Students from VIP and other area students, under the guidance of restaurant professionals, are responsible for the entire operations of the business.

The recipes and execution of them are consistently SO good. Everything I have ordered I have loved. ~Matthew ]
