Goodman Atwood Community Center offers programs for seniors to gather together, share interests,
make friends, eat good food, and connect to the community. Following are descriptions of
programs open to older adults. Reservations are not necessary--just drop in! You are always
welcome at the Goodman Atwood Community Center.
ALL-DAY WEDNESDAY PROGRAM
Come for an hour or stay all day! Transportation is provided (cost of $1) with a two-day notice.
10-11 am: Gentle exercise. Work on stretching and range of motion. The exercise class can be done in either a sitting or standing position. The group is led by professional fitness instructor and certified massage therapist Sarah Watts.
11 am to Noon: Coffee and fellowship hour. Use this time to work on projects, read the paper, talk to friends, or play cards.
Noon-12:45 pm: Light lunch. Enjoy a home-cooked prepared by some of Madison's finest volunteer chefs. Suggested donation of $1 for the meal.
12:45-2:45 pm: Nickel Bingo. A nickel a card per game and the winner takes the pot. Four-card maximum.

EUCHRE PARTY
Join us for fun-filled afternoons of euchre. Dessert and coffee are available. The card party
includes door prizes and nickel lone hands. In addition to the door prizes, the top 3 scorers
win $5, $4, and $3. Euchre players pay $1 at the door. Dates: First Saturday of each month. Time: 12:30 - 3:00 p.m. Location: Atwood Main Room. Contact: Marlene Storms at 241-1574, ext. 25.

MONDAY BRUNCH
On Monday mornings at 11:15, join us for a delicious meal and
fellowship. Bingo is on from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Suggested donation is $1.50.
Transportation is available for $1 with a two-day advance notice. For more information, please contact Marlene

New in 2008:
On certain Mondays, once a month, rather than the usual $1.50 requested
donation, the requested donation will be fifty cents! That’s right, a hearty meal and

FRIDAY COMMUNITY MEAL
We offer coffee and fellowship on Fridays at around 11 a.m. We always have coffee and snacks and we even have it earlier than 11 a.m. most times. Please contact Marlene Storms at 241-1574, ext. 25 for more information.
