The Goodman Community Center's success relies on the help of hundreds of volunteers each year. Whether you have a little or a lot of time, would like to work with people or not >> we're likely to find you an opportunity you'll enjoy. Apply to volunteer today!
Right now, we need a variety of help >> we need folks to teach kids to cross country ski, accompany afterschool kids on nature field trips, help in the preschool, or help us keep our vans clean. We also are looking for people of color to work with kids of color as tutors and mentors.

Volunteer to help with an event
If you have just a short amount of time to offer once or twice a year, consider volunteering for one of our special events >> it's quick and easy >> you don't need to fill out a volunteer application, simply contact Tanya Martinez-Knauer at tanyamk@goodmancenter.org or 241-1574 x231 and let her know which event you'd like to help with:
- Golf Scramble: volunteers needed May-June
- Summerfest: volunteers needed June-July
- Thanksgiving Baskets: volunteers needed October-November
- Holiday Gift Program: volunteers needed in December
How to apply for an ongoing volunteer role
To begin volunteering with the Goodman Community Center, please read the Letter to Prospective Volunteers >> simply download a pdf of it from the list below. Then, if you want to submit an application, download and complete both the Volunteer Application and Background Disclosure Form below.
Our volunteer coordinator will review your application. If you seem like a good fit for the volunteer position you're interested in, she will give your name and contact information to the coordinator of the program you're interested in working with and he or she will be in touch to schedule an interview.
Before your first volunteer shift, we'll need you to complete and return the Emergency Contact Information Form.
