Artist Bio

Brian Kelley is from Wisconsin and lived on an Amish farm in early childhood. As a young teen, he traveled Italy, Greece and Turkey. From these experiences and through various childhood traumas, he developed interest and comfort in the evidence of natural forces through time wiping away the messages and creations of humans. He also developed a love for photography.

Kelley’s focus is on semi-chaotic patterns, textures and colors that emerge in the process of natural forces reducing human creations to the elements — capturing the point where human intent is evident but no longer effective. This is a Zen exercise that has been critical for the artist in finding peace and beauty. He presents his photos on metal prints.
