Dear Friends and Neighbors,

With the county mask and capacity orders lifting this week, there’s so much hope in the air. Do you feel it too? Now, we’re still being cautious here at the Goodman Center, requiring masks inside, maintaining our spacing rules. But I’m feeling the hope, the promise of a return to in-person events and open doors.

A big part of that hope comes thanks to the vaccination rates in Dane County. Public Health announced this week that 76% of those eligible to be vaccinated in Dane County are vaccinated. We’ve done our part by hosting four vaccine clinics in partnership with the African American Health Network, and I’m so proud to say that the majority of our staff are now fully vaccinated.

We’re looking to summer and making plans for welcoming children and teens to the Center for summer camp, as well as slowly reintroducing more in-person events for our older adults. I can’t wait.

Take care,
