Welcoming Chris Talton to Goodman Community Center!

Chris begins work as GCC's new President

It's official! Christ Talton started work on Monday as Goodman's new president. Chris had a packed first day, getting to know the staff and space, and meeting with outgoing interim director, Jeff Burkhart. Jeff also shared some parting thoughts on the past 10 months on our blog.

Chris comes to Goodman from Goodwill Industries of North Central Wisconsin and brings more than a decade of leadership within community-focused nonprofits. For more about Chris's background, see the March 30th announcement on our blog.

We know that our program participants, volunteers, neighbors and supporters are eager to welcome Chris, so he'll be at several public events in May. See below for dates and how to register.

Celebrate community and enjoy a beautiful meal from GCC catering chefs and TEENworks participants. The teens will also be holding a panel on their program. And you won't want to miss our amazing raffle prizes and community awards!

Community Chats: Get to know Goodman's new president
Tuesday, May 19, at 5:30 pm or
Thursday, May 21, at 9 am

Please join us for a casual getting-to-know-you event with light refreshments. There will be a brief program to learn more about Chris, following which guests are invited to snack and mingle. A comment book and form will also be available to share your questions and thoughts.
All are welcome. Pre-registration is required to ensure we have enough refreshments and seats for everyone.
