Why Planned Giving?

A charitable bequest to the Goodman Community Center in your will creates a foundation for the future of our organization and the important work we do in our community. The work we do today is essential, but it is equally important to ensure we can strengthen lives and build communities far into the future. If you’ve supported us in the past, a bequest in your will is a powerful statement in your legacy and costs you nothing today. In addition to sustaining our mission, creating a will is a great way to secure your future and protect what you love. Having an estate plan:

  • Protects your home for the future
  • Gives peace of mind to your loved ones
  • Is an important task that is typically hindered by time and resource constraints

Writing a will should be an easy task that everyone has access to, yet nearly 67% of Americans don’t have one.

The Goodman Community Center has partnered with FreeWill to provide a free online tool that allows you to make a legally valid estate plan, or update an existing one, in just 20 minutes. With this tool, you can secure your future, protect your loved ones, and make a lasting impact on the communities we serve.
