Goodman Community Center | FYI Teen Employment

In collaboration with TEENworks, the FYI program has employment opportunities for high school teens age 14 and older learning to coach and work with kids in a fun environment while gaining valuable employment skills.

Youth take leadership roles in working with and coaching preschool and elementary students in health and fitness activities. Not only do teens provide skills coaching to these young children, they also develop relationships that foster social-emotional growth in these kiddos.

A variety of opportunities exist, including:

  • Coaching youth sports teams.
  • Working with Goodman Community Center programs during the summer, such as supporting canoeing and fishing programming.
  • Paid training on employment skills, such as resumes and interviewing, and skill development for working with youth.

Hours are flexible based on programming. No previous job experience necessary.
