About the Instructor
Kelsey first experienced yoga at the age of 16, following along to a cheesy VHS in her basement with her best friend. It wasn’t until 2018 that Kelsey was privileged to participate in a yoga retreat, which allowed her to experience yoga in a way that not only helped bring balance to her body, but also her mind and spirit. As a result, Kelsey decided to make yoga a permanent fixture of her lifestyle.
In 2020, Kelsey completed the Studio’s teacher training program in downtown Madison, which inspired her to share what she had learned with others. Since then, Kelsey has taught a variety of yoga classes, including slow flow Vinyasa styles, to more mindfulness-based sessions, to up-beat sweat-it-out Baptiste flows.
When Kelsey isn’t teaching yoga, you can find her at her day job where she works as a humanitarian aid worker, developing and delivering education programming for refugee communities globally, as well as pursuing her PhD in Education Policy Studies at UW-Madison. Kelsey’s doctoral work examines social emotional learning and mindful movement with refugee communities in East Africa.
