This is a general recurring schedule. Last minute activity changes can be found on the whiteboard near the Ironworks front desk. Ask the front desk or older adult program staff for more info on any of these activities.

Short Story & Philosophy Discussion Group

Older adult lounge

Rotates weekly between stories and topical philosophy discussions. Short fiction discussed with activist and retired journalist Dan Melton. Open to all adults. Discussions will follow. Contact Dan Melton at oakville000@yahoo.com or 608-249-9632 for meeting information.

Mindful Meditation
10:45 – 11:45 am
Ironworks

Guided meditation from instructor Laiman Mai. The three parts to these sessions are: body awareness and sensation, loving kindness meditation and gratitude meditation with optional share.

Gentle Exercise
11 am – 12 pm
Online

These range-of-motion exercises are recommended by doctors and therapists to help keep joints flexible and can be practiced both sitting and standing. Instructor Rachel Sandretto is offering online classes via Zoom. These classes meet the Balance Stamp of Approval from the Balance Keys Committee of Safe Communities of Madison-Dane County.
