Position Purpose

Goodman Community Center (GCC) strengthens lives and secures futures, envisioning a community where everyone has the resources they need to be successful. We are hiring a Sports Manager to support our Youth Initiative. The Fit Youth Initiative (FYI) uses the research and recommendations of the United Way delegations: Healthy Food for all children and Children’s Physical Activity Plan to create a comprehensive program that not only increases the level of activity and the consumption of healthy foods during program hours, but creates long term change by creating attitudinal and behavioral changes increasing overall healthy lifestyles for children ages 3- 18, and their families.

The Sports Manager would be responsible for all day to day skill development program, leagues, community partnership programs, and recreational activities in our youth sports programs. The program is delivered at Goodman Community Center and three consortium partner sites: East Madison Community Center, Kennedy Heights Community Center and the Vera Court Community Center.

Director of Hospitality and Events Management

The Goodman Community Center (GCC) is actively seeking an experienced professional to fill a Director of Hospitality and Events Management position. The Director of Hospitality and Events Management develops and executes strategic sales plans to generate and optimize overall rental and catering revenues while maximizing mission impact. The position is also responsible for overseeing the physical center spaces, including directing the front desk reception staff. This role leads, motivates and supports the event, catering services, maintenance/custodial and front desk reception teams to engage diverse communities and maximize customer satisfaction, revenues and maintain positive interdepartmental communications, while providing excellent customer service to the Goodman Community Center’s internal and external customers.

AmeriCorps Volunteer Coordinator

Goodman Community Center is a host site for Marshfield Clinic Health System’s Volunteer Wisconsin AmeriCorps Program. AmeriCorps is often referred to as a domestic Peace Corps, placing individuals within communities to give a year of their life to serving others. The AmeriCorps Community Corps Volunteer Coordinator assist with recruiting, managing and celebrating volunteers to support programs, events and activities throughout the GCC community. This full-time service position will work most closely with our food pantry and older adult program teams as well as support our community-wide Thanksgiving basket give-away effort.

Director of Child Care and Youth Programs

Catering/Event Coordinator

Position Purpose

Working Class Catering (WCC) provides full-service catering with house-made foods of all styles using fresh local and organic ingredients. Our catering program is a classroom of sorts. Teens are integrated in all aspects of running a full service catering company through the Goodman Community Center’s Teen Education and Employment Network (TEENworks).

The Catering Coordinator supports the Assistant Director Event Management in with customer service, planning, and execution of Working Class Catering functions while maintaining the highest standards of guest service, compliance, and presentation.

Program Cook

We currently are recruiting for a Program Cook position:

  • Full Time (40 hours) AM Shift Monday-Friday

The primary mission of the Goodman Community Center Food Programs is to produce healthy meals for children, youth, parents and older adults. A secondary goal is to teach teens about locally sourced foods, culinary arts and employment training/experiences in the food industry.

Compensation range is from $16.00-$18.00 per hour and will be based upon experience. Benefits include paid time off, health, dental, vision. life, EAP, 403(b) and, discount on childcare, free on-site fitness center membership.
