Job Title
Custodian

The Custodian role is responsible for providing, a clean and safe environment for all staff, volunteers, program participants, customers and guests of the Goodman Community Center. Job reports to: Facility Use Manager

Part-time evening and weekend hours Thursdays, Fridays and every other Saturday 4-10pm (with some variations based on events.) 10-18 hours per week, additional hours available to cover for leave of absense in February.

Driver

This position supports the execution of Working Class Catering delivering offsite contracted meals and picking up catering supplies.Our catering hosts meals on site at the Goodman Community Center buildings, offsite at various venues around Dane County, and a daily week-day program meal service to select Madison locations.

Part-time 10+ hours per week on Thursdays and Fridays, with the option to pick-up additional hours as available.

Elementary Afterschool Teacher

The Elementary Age Afterschool Program at Goodman Community Center (GCC) is a place for children from all backgrounds to play, socialize, learn and grow. Teachers are expected to assist the classroom lead in organizing, supervising, and implementing after school programming that supports the goals of GCC’s elementary program.

The position will begin late March, beginning of April. Part-time 22 hours/week during the school year. Hours: Monday 12:15-5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 1:45- 5:30 p.m.  Wed 12:45-6:00 p.m. June to mid-August 40 hours/week.

LOFT High School Girls Inc. Facilitator

The LOFT High School Girls Inc. Facilitator is responsible for creating, implementing, monitoring, and growing gender specific programs for high school (HS) girls as a component of out of school (OST) program for Goodman Community Center. This role will support the larger goals of LOFT programming and work closely with the High School Coordinator to recruit, develop, and implement programming for all HS students rooted in best practices. The LOFT High School Girls Inc. Facilitator will work closely with the LOFT team to assure quality programming and in maintaining the elements of the Girls Inc. and LOFT experiences.

Assistant Director of Children’s Programming

The Assistant Director is part of the Leadership team at the Goodman Community Center.  In this capacity, the position oversees all aspects of the children’s programs, ensuring organization, coordination and facilitation of activities that result in securing futures and strengthening the lives of our early childhood and elementary school age children and their families.  These activities focus on: life-long learning, health and wellness, and community engagement and leadership emphasizing best practices throughout all programs at the Goodman Community Center.

Substitute Preschool Teacher

The early childhood education program at Goodman Community Center is a place for young children 3-5 years of age to learn and grow in a safe and encouraging setting. Staff work as a team to guide the development of the children as they learn in an environment of discovery and play. The Substitute Teachers are expected to help 4K and classroom teachers in day to day organizing, supervising, and implementing preschool programming that supports the goals of GCC’s childcare programs.
