After School Teacher, 4th Grade

The Elementary Age Afterschool Program at Goodman Community Center is a place for children from all backgrounds to play, socialize, learn and grow. Teachers are expected to assist the classroom lead in organizing, supervising, and implementing after school programming that supports the goals of GCC’s elementary program.

Part-time 18-20 hours/week, Hourly/Non-Exempt; job reports to Assistant Director-Childcare Programs

FYI Nutrition Education Internship

The Fit Youth Initiative is a community center collaboration aimed at bettering the nutrition and health of youth in our service areas through fitness programs and nutrition education. FYI aims to increase the level of activity and the consumption of healthy foods during program hours by creating a collaborative, community-based program that offers consistent, intentional, evidence-based fitness and nutrition programming for children ages 3- 18 and their parents. The Nutrition Education Internship is an opportunity to work in your community promoting healthy eating and nutrition to youth and their families. The FYI NE Intern is responsible for creating and promoting FYI Harvest of the Month activities and recipes, assisting with classroom activities, and supporting other FYI nutrition education events.

This is an unpaid internship. Reports to: FYI Nutrition Education Specialist. 

Monday 1-5pm Thursday 2-5pm with additional hours scheduled as needed.

Substitute Teacher – Preschool

The early childhood education program at Goodman Community Center is a place for young children 3-5 years of age to learn and grow in a safe and encouraging setting. Staff work as a team to guide the development of the children as they learn in an environment of discovery and play. The Substitute Teachers are expected to help 4K and classroom teachers in day to day organizing, supervising, and implementing preschool programming that supports the goals of GCC’s childcare programs.

Substitute Teacher – Elementary Afterschool

The Afterschool Program at Goodman Community Center is a place for children from all backgrounds to recreate, socialize, learn and grow.  As a 21st Century Community Learning Center, we provide academic and enrichment opportunities intentionally designed to be hands-on and connected to school day goals while helping children develop social-emotional and problem-solving skills. This program serves Kindergarten – 5th grade.

Part-time Hourly/Non-Exempt; Program hours: Monday 12:30-5:30, Tuesday-Friday 2:15-5:30

Dishwasher

The Goodman Community Center is seeking a dishwasher. The dishwasher will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for all dishes used for Goodman Community Center food programs ensuring a safe meal for program participants and customers.

10+ hours/week. Shifts include: Monday-Friday  9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and/or  1:30-6:30 p.m.; Saturdays 12-4 p.m. and/or 4-8 p.m. Pay is $8.50-$9 per hour.
