Manager On Duty

Position Purpose


Under the supervision of the Director of Hospitality and Facilities Services, the Manager on Duty (MOD) provides oversight of and assistance
with the ongoing activities of the Goodman Community Center (GCC). This may be in the absence of, or in conjunction with, any Directors who are on duty at the time. The Manager on Duty (MOD) is responsible for ensuring the staff, members and guests have a safe, clean and pleasant environment in which to work and exercise.
This position ensure that Goodman Community Center operations maintain standards of safety, fun, customer service and program quality consisted with Goodman Values (Community, Trust, Integrity, Equity, Caring, and Respect). This role supports the Director of Hospitality and Facilities Services with building and grounds management mostly outside of core administrative hours (evenings and weekends).
The Manager on Duty ensures that the facility is running smoothly. On-call MOD is the principal point of contact in the event that an extraordinary problem or incident arises.

Catering/Event Coordinator

Working Class Catering (WCC) provides full-service catering with house-made foods of all styles using fresh local and organic ingredients. Our catering program is a classroom of sorts. Fitness Center Assistant

POSITION PURPOSE

The Fitness Center Assistant assesses their customers’ bodily strengths and weaknesses and create customized workout plans. They provide physical and mental guidance and monitor customers' progress on a regular basis. They maintain a clean and risk free environment to maximize a safe place for members to workout. Fitness Center Assistants can work with individuals or in small groups. This position candidate will also work with GC children, Middle School and High School programs and may be asked to provide expertise in group fitness programs of various training styles (e.g. aerobic exercise, lifts, cross-training)

This is a full time hourly/nonexempt position working 30 hours per week. The wage range is $16.00-$18.00 per hour depending on experience. GCC offers competitive benefits. We are currently recruiting for an Urban Agriculture Specialist reporting to Assistant Director of Youth Programs.  This position focuses on providing direct service to high school students in both the Goodman Community Center in-house innovative school day programs (Seed to Table Transition Academy and Summer School)This position is responsible for managing the urban agriculture components of TEENworks.  This position teaches urban agriculture skills to teen participants and helps run the Goodman Seed to Table Garden.

This is a part-time position working 10 hours a week up to 20 hours maximum. This position is not benefits eligible.
