PASS AmeriCorps Summer Program Leader (Summer role, 30 hours/week)

Americorps Serve Wisconsin logoLOFT staff work together to provide Madison youth a safe, fun and productive place to spend their out of school time. PASS AmeriCorps members will support our extended learning summer programming through engaging mini-courses and community service.  Members may also be challenged to design new program initiatives with a very diverse youth population. This placement will work primarily with our High School program—which may include fitness components, music and performance art, community engagement and life skills, & STEM programming in our beautiful facilities.  We will work with your strengths and our needs to create a mutually beneficial position to best serve our community.Culturally and linguistically diverse applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.

This is a limited term summer position. Must be able and willing to serve 300 hours between June 12, 2018 and August 31, 2018. Position rewards in the complete description below.

Khan Academy Coordinator (Summer role, 20 hours/week)

LOFT staff work together to provide Madison youth a safe, fun and productive place to spend their out of school time. At all times it is the responsibility of the Program Leaders to provide active supervision and engage with youth when they are on site in the Lussier LOFT, and other program areas.

Khan Academy offers practice exercises, instructional videos, and a personalized learning dashboards that empowers learners to study at their own pace in and outside of the classroom. They tackle math, science, computer programming, history, art history, economics, and more. Their math missions guide learners from kindergarten to calculus using state-of-the-art, adaptive technology that identifies strengths and learning gaps.

This is a limited term, part-time summer position for approximately 20 hours a week, 12:00-5:00 p.m. Monday-Thursday from June 4 - August 10. Must be flexible. Pay is $15/hour. Postition report to Youth Programs Manager.

LOFT Summer Program Leader (Summer role, 20 hours/week)

LOFT staff work together to provide Madison youth a safe, fun and productive place to spend their out of school time.  At all times it is the responsibility of the Program Leader to provide active supervision and engage with youth when they are on site in the Lussier LOFT, and other program areas. 

This is a limited term, 10-week summer position for approximately 20 hours a week, 12:00-5:00 p.m. Monday-Thursday. Must be flexible. Pay is $13/hour. Postition report to Youth Programs Manager.

Catering Chef (full-time & part-time)

We have full-time and part-time opportunities, hourly/non-exempt, 16-40 hours per week. Hours vary by catering calendar, though a majority of events are Thursday – Sunday.  The primary mission of the Goodman Community Center cafe and catering services is to teach teens about locally sourced foods, cooking and employment in the food industry while providing the highest possible food quality and customer service.

This position supports the execution of menus for the Working Class Catering. Our catering hosts meals on site at the Goodman Community Center buildings, offsite at various venues around Dane County, and a daily week-day program meal service to select Madison locations.
