The Goodman Community Center (GCC), where we strengthen lives and secure futures has an exciting opportunity for a data enthusiast to support program evaluation and development across the Goodman Community Center.  With the Director of Strategic Initiatives and Program Impact, and the Assistant Director of Evaluation, the Program Data Specialist works to ensure program impact is monitored, evaluated, and used for continuous improvement, grant compliance, and reporting.  The Program Data Specialist will develop and maintain quality data systems and ensure timely, accurate data entry across the Center.

This is a full time hourly/nonexempt position working 30 hours per week.  The wage range is $16.00-$18.00 per hour depending on experience.  GCC offers competitive benefits.  In addition, GCC employees enjoy free access to our onsite fitness center, discounted childcare, and discounts with the use of GCC’s rentable spaces.

Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with ongoing data architecture processes
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures related to data storage and collection for GCC
  • Prepare source data for computer entry by compiling, verifying accuracy, and sorting information
  • Enter participant, program, and evaluation data into database software
  • Work with the Development Associate to ensure grant information is entered into appropriate databases
  • Import and export data between databases
  • Perform regular data integrity and quality audits
  • Correct any deficiencies by using standard procedures and check output; Work with program staff to reconcile missing data
  • Train staff on data storage and retrieval processes
  • Work with the Assistant Director of IT and the Assistant Director of Evaluation to troubleshoot information storage issues
  • Respond to queries for information and assist in generation of data reports
  • Prepare accurate and concise reports on projects that are often time-sensitive and deadline-driven
  • Performs others duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Exceptional computer literacy: advanced skills in the Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, SharePoint and OneDrive
  • At least two years’ experience working with database or web-based software.
  • Familiarity with administrative duties
  • Ability to exercise a great deal of discretion, working with highly confidential information
  • Consistently demonstrate flexibility and the ability to prioritize and reprioritize work as necessary
  • Effectively manage and meet deadline pressures

SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong passion for the work that is accomplished within the Goodman Community Center (GCC)
  • Ability and interest in developing a working knowledge of GCC’s daily operations, management, and leadership
  • Flexibility and ability to embrace and manage change
  • Ability to work cross functionally with other GCC departments
  • Maintain a flexible work schedule to meet the demands of management

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to use computers daily in an interactive manner for extended periods of time as necessary
  • Ability to work in multiple environments (i.e. working in schools to develop opportunities, work station at GCC, and remotely as needed)
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for an extended period of time
  • Ability to lift, push, pull up to 15 pounds occasionally
