Who can register for a Thanksgiving Basket?

Registration is open to all Dane County residents. Baskets are limited to the first 4,000 households registered.

How do I get my Basket?

After registering for a Thanksgiving Basket, you will receive a bright orange postcard in the mail. Postcards will arrive the week before Basket pickup. Please bring this postcard with you to pick up your Basket.

If you do not have your postcard and you registered to receive a basket during the registration period, please bring your email with pickup information, a photo ID or give your name to the check-in station. Please note that checking-in without your orange postcard will make pick-up times longer.

Basket distribution

  • Saturday, Nov. 22, 9 am–5 pm
  • Sunday, Nov. 23, 10 am–5 pm
  • Monday, Nov. 24, 10 am–5 pm

Specific pick-up times are assigned to minimize traffic and make everyone’s trip as quick and easy as possible. We encourage all registrants to come at their assigned date and time. If you are unable to pick up your basket during your assigned pick-up time and do not have anyone who can pick up on your behalf, you may pick up your basket during one of the times listed above. Baskets are only given out during scheduled distribution.
