The Goodman Community Center is proud to be the Madison affiliate for Girls Inc. We are expanding the network of local programs and supporting these programs in a variety of ways. Our goal is to increase Girls Inc. programming in Madison neighborhood organizations and schools, serving up to 900 girls by 2020!
Girls Inc. inspires all girls to be strong, smart, and bold, providing more than 138,000 girls across the U.S. and Canada with life-changing experiences and real solutions to the unique issues girls face. In 2017, nearly 600 girls — from elementary to high school — participated in Girls Inc. at 14 schools and community centers throughout Madison. That year we nearly doubled the number of girls we served, and we’re poised to help more and more girls become strong, smart and bold.

Girls Inc. is the spark that ignites the fight for the brilliant future they deserve. That's because Girls Inc. wants every girl to stand on her own two feet. To resist gender stereotypes and peer pressure. To express herself as she is. To take risks. To appreciate her body and to feel safe in the world. Because a girl who can do that has the power to break the cycle and change the world. But to get there she will need a champion. She needs Girls Inc. and in turn Girls Inc. counts on the financial support from our donors. That way, we can stand in her corner, so she will win.
We are located inside of the Goodman Community Center at 149 Waubesa Street in Madison, right next to the bike path.
