Dear Friends and Neighbors,
There is an energy in the air at the Goodman Center these days, and I have to tell you: I like it! Our programs are busy prepping activities for kids and getting ready for summer. Events are returning to our beautiful rooms. And it feels like the bustle that I’ve heard so much about is coming back to the GCC halls.
And, add to all that: we’re working on hosting more COVID-19 vaccine clinics.
On Wednesday, we hosted our second clinic, and Dr. Eva Vivian, president of the African American Health Network and professor in the UW-Madison School of Pharmacy, spent the evening talking to people about the vaccines – answering questions and helping people make an informed decision about what’s right for them. It was inspiring to see her at work. This Saturday, she’ll be back doing it again as we host our third clinic, and we could really use your help in spreading the word. (More info below.)
It’s so important that we come together to protect ourselves and our community, and I’m proud that the Goodman Center has played a part in that. I'm filled with hope and anticipation for the day when we can fully open our doors to the public once again. I can’t wait to experience first-hand the energy that flows through this place.
