Hosting an event with us? Our in-house catering team is here to help.
From coffee and cookies to a full banquet, we offer a wide variety of catering options, so you can find just what you need. Every dish is prepared on site, from scratch, with a focus on fresh, seasonal menus. We accommodate everyone with vegetarian options, vegan menus and gluten-free foods.
Unique to Madison, our catering team is part of the TEENworks vocational program that offers valuable, marketable work skills and experience to teenagers. Not only do they learn how to prepare seasonal, local foods to professional standards, they also get experience planning menus, delivering quality catering and providing great customer service. Teens work with top professionals to ensure your guests receive the best experience.
Our professional staff takes the lead
Teens work side-by-side with experienced, dedicated staff so you can feel confident that your event will go smoothly and every detail will get the attention it demands. Whether it's a once in a lifetime celebration, a casual gathering, or a meeting you're hosting, let Good Works Community Catering serve you.
Drinks to celebrate any occasion
Hosting an event at GCC is all about options. We have a variety of bar packages to complement our stylish, industrial interiors and made-from-scratch catering.
Learn MoreYes, if your event has fewer than 100 guests. You may bring in prepared food or prepare your own food in our service kitchen.
No, if your event has 100 guests or more. For large events, we require a full-service caterer.
Since we hold our own liquor license, all alcoholic beverages must be purchased and served through our catering team. By Wisconsin law, carry-in of any alcoholic beverage is illegal.
Outside caterers may not serve or sell alcoholic beverages at Goodman Community Center. Our hospitality team will work with event contacts for options for alcohol service, which may include cash bar, open bar or limited complimentary beverages for your guests. Licensed bartenders are required at all events with alcohol service, and will be GCC employees.
We approve outside caterers on a case-by-case basis with a signed contract. As a facility user, you’ll pay a $3.50 per guest fee at the time the contract is signed.
If you decide to use the Goodman Community Center catering team, but have already paid the outside catering fee, we’ll apply the fee toward your catering bill with us.
Not typically, although we occasionally cater select events in the community.
