Elementary School

We've always offered a home-away-from-home for kids in our Afterschool program, but with our new facility there's a lot more to explore. Our programs and activities enhance how well kids do in school, boost their nutrition, help them get or stay fit, and give them skills and opportunities to make friends and have fun.

The Goodman Community Center's elementary programs for children grades K-5th are made possible by a Community Learning Center grant, the City of Madison, the United Way, and generous support of our donors. As a Community Learning Center (CLC), Goodman's after school program provides enrollees opportunities for academic support, including homework help, and hands-on enrichments with a focus on literacy, math, and science encouragement.

For youth attending Lowell, Emerson, Marquette and Lapham elementary schools. Children are transported from Lowell and Emerson in a MMSD school bus from Marquette and Lapham in GCC vans. Drop off van routes to Brentwood Parkway and Darbo/Worthington Park neighborhoods. Goodman's after school program is state licensed and city of Madison accredited.
