Severe Weather Closings Policy

When Madison Schools are closed due to snow, all food programs, as well as youth and senior program activities scheduled that day are canceled AND center facilities will be closed. If the Madison Schools close for other inclement weather (such as extreme cold), the facilities may remain open, though some programs may be canceled. In those cases, an announcement will be made on our website, as well as through our phone system.

If severe weather requires us to close the Center on a weekend, you'll find a message on our phone system and on our website to let you know. In some situations, private events may still take place even though the Center is closed due to severe weather. If you were planning to attend a scheduled private event, please contact your event's organizer for more information.
