Food Pantry Changes 

Effective Tuesday, March 17

Pre-packaged bags (mostly non-perishable items) will be available for drive-thru or walk-up distribution outside in the Ironworks parking lot.

  • Tuesday 9:30 a.m.– noon
  • Wednesday 6 p.m.– 8 p.m.
  • Thursday 12:30 p.m.– 3 p.m.

Our buildings are closed to the public and we’re honoring social distancing as we clean and sanitize our facilities, and prepare meals and bags of groceries for neighbors.

Older Adult Center-Based Programming Suspended 

Effective Monday, March 16

Older Adult meals and activities will be canceled until further notice. We are registering participants for Monday-Friday home-delivered meals by Goodman Community Center and SSM Health, establishing a phone tree for check-ins, wellness checks and connections to other resources as needed.

BE ACTIVE AT HOME:

    *These classes have been awarded the Balance Stamp of Approval (BSOA) for meeting the balance-enhancing criteria developed by the Balance Keys Committee of Safe Communities of Madison-Dane County.
  2. Easy Yoga instructor Ellen has videos on her website at thewonderofyoga.com

Fitness Center Closed 

Effective Monday, March 16

The Fitness Center will remain closed until September. We will extend memberships for the duration of the closure.

Hospitality

Facility rentals May 27 through June 30: groups of 50 or less only (must maintain physical distancing)

Room space and time restrictions for May 27 through August 15:

  • Evjue, Merrill Lynch, Bea Christensen, Lau Christensen, Bolz A, Bolz B, Rashke, Hicks available starting at 6pm Monday-Friday, and weekends 
  • No other spaces available during this time frame

The Center is managing a neighborhood meal distribution three days a week.

  • Wednesday & Thursday individual dinners
  • Friday 2 family-style meals + a pantry bag of groceries

Sign up once, then you’ll continue receiving meals weekly. Contact Sara by phone or email listed above to cancel. We’ll knock or ring your doorbell between 3:30-4:30 p.m. as we leave the meal on your doorstep.

UW Health has created a special hotline for the community to call with questions about the virus. Anyone who is considering being seen for coronavirus at a clinic, urgent care or emergency room is asked to call the UW Health hotline at (608) 720-5300.
