Last night, we hosted our first Pop-Up Community Dinner, and it couldn't have been a more lovely evening. The sold-out event gathered community members and neighbors, staff and friends for a delicious meal prepared by Goodman Chef Tyrone Reese, with the help of teens and staff from our TEENworks program.

Neighbors, families and friends gathered on May 5 at the Goodman Center for our first Community Dinner.

Chef Tyrone Reese stepped out of the kitchen for a minute to thank everyone for attending.

Guests dined on a delicious meal, prepared by Tyrone and our teens. Offerings included chicken mole tacos, pozole, tamales and more.

The event sold out, but don't worry. There are more planned for the future.

It was so nice to have the opportunity to gather members of our community together again.

Hosted on May 5, the teens who worked the event spent the weeks leading up to it learning about the history of Cinco de Mayo. They applied that knowledge to making the food and decorations for the dinner.
