Welcome to the Lussier Fitness Center!

The Lussier Fitness Center at the Goodman Community Center aims to serve our community in their health and wellness journey. Outside of a pandemic, the fitness center would be open to all community members on a drop-in or membership basis (learn more about these options below).

Due to the pandemic and for the safety of our community, appointments are required.

Hours

  • Monday through Thursday, 5am – 9pm
  • Friday, 5am – 8pm
  • Saturday and Sunday, 8am – 6pm

 

Reserve Your Workout Time

 

Pandemic safety measures include:

  • Appointments required; 1-hour time slots available.
  • Maximum capacity of the facility: 15 people.
  • Upon arrival, members will go through a health screen, including screening questions and temperature.
  • Masks must be worn covering the nose and mouth at all times.
  • Members are asked to maintain 6 feet of distance between each other.
  • Machines must be sanitized after each use.

GROUP FITNESS CLASSES 1

The Lussier Fitness Center is happy to introduce some new group fitness classes. These are currently being offered on a trial basis. Classes are FREE for Lussier Fitness Center members and just $4 for non-members. Keep an eye on this page and our Activities Calendar for future class offerings.

 

Body Boot Camp

Interval training class that uses calisthenics and body weight exercises with cardio and strength training. Workouts are designed to challenge individuals physically and mentally, promote camaraderie with other participants, and build teamwork skills to complete challenges. This class is open to all levels of fitness from beginner to advanced. All exercise can be modified to accommodate your physical needs.

  • Location: Gym (Ironworks building, 149 Waubesa St.)
  • Days & Times:
    • Mondays, 6:30-7:15am
    • Wednesdays, 5:30-6:15pm

TRX Suspension

TRX is a form of suspension training that uses body weight exercises that help develop strength, balance, flexibility and core stability simultaneously. The TRX suspension trainer tool uses the leverage of gravity and body weight to complete the movement of exercises. This class is for all levels, beginner to advanced. All exercise can be modified to accomodate your physical needs.

    • Wednesdays, 6:30-7:15am
    • Thursdays, 5-5:45pm

Foam Roll & Go

Foam rolling is a self-massaging myofascial release technique that helps relieve muscle tightness, soreness and inflammation, and increase range of motion in joints. Using a foam rolling tool will help with injury prevention and ease chronic muscle pain.
