Last week, the Goodman Center wrapped up another Backpack and School Supply Drive, and it was our most successful to date.

We asked the community to help us provide 200 local kids with school supplies this year, and our caring neighbors blew us away with their generosity. Hundreds of members of our community made it possible for us to more than DOUBLE our goal!

Thanks to generous donations, 438 kids in grades K-12 have the supplies they need this school year.

These days are not easy for many, with everything costing more than it did this same time last year. And yet, our community turned out with in-person school supply donations, boxes upon boxes delivered from our Amazon wish list and thousands of dollars donated so we could order the backpacks and supplies we needed. We had wonderful volunteers from the community and some of our local partners (EUA, C. Blohm & Associates, DreamBank, Fiskars, Axley Attorneys) there to help us sort and organize it all.

Thank you to everyone who supported this effort! You’ve shown us once again what it means to #BeTheGood, and we’re so happy to have you in our community.

Thank you to our generous sponsors!
