Thanksgiving update: So many families need our help this year.

Dear friends & neighbors,

We opened registration for our Thanksgiving Baskets last Monday, Oct. 16, and by noon on Wednesday of that week, we had 4,100 families registered for a basket. This time last year, I told you we had registered more people in the first days than ever before, and this year, we blew our number out of the water.

4,100 families in less than three days.

I'm sure you can see: Families are having a hard time, and they need our help.

For the last two years, our food pantry has seen an incredible increase in customers. Usage is up 53% from January through August 2023 versus the same time period last year. Compared to 2021, pantry customers have more than doubled in 2023. At our peak during the pandemic, our pantry served a little more than 300 households each week. Today, that's the low end of our average.

With families having to choose between bills and groceries, a big holiday meal simply won't be in the cards for many this year. But it can be, with help from neighbors like you. Check out our Thanksgiving Basket page to learn more about how you can help.

Let's work together to provide Thanksgiving groceries to every family who needs them this holiday season.

With gratitude,

Letesha Nelson, CEO & Executive Director
